I don't think it is, but let me ask the question just in case.
Will installing unnecessary packages or extensions increase the final size of my built app?
For example, if I install the "Unity Recorder" package provided by official Unity tech into my project that I am going to release as a product, will the final size of my build app take up some space of unused binary operation for the package?
I just want to record my app for the purpose of sharing the visual information or something like that.
But if it will take some size or time to build even in the phase of release building, I would never install these stuff, and would use something like OBS instead for recording.
Thank you in advance!

Problem Installing the 'Entities', 'Hybrid Renderer', 'Unity Physics' Packages
![alt text][1]
[1]: /storage/temp/163779-unitydoubts.png
As you can see its just stuck with the installing option. Other packages can be downloaded without a problem before trying to install packages like Entities, Hybrid Renderer, Unity Physics. If I try downloading the packages which seem to me are packages related to DOTS, the problem arises and it just gets stuck at installing. It shows the importing window and it loads fully and says done. But the installing button is stuck and when I restart the editor to check if the package has been added, it says install. So it doesn't get installed.
I don't have much idea on whether or not Windows Defender could have caused the problem, but I disabled everything in Windows Defender too and it still did not work.
Could it be because of my Unity version ? Should I downgrade ?
Thank you

"The associated script can not be loaded" & "The script needs to derive from monobehaviour"
I am currently trying to merge 3 "2019.2.17f" project to a single "2018.4.16f" project.
I made a package for each of my projects and imported them to my single project, and none of the script seems to be working. It all says "The associated script can not be loaded".
I tried:
reopen project
restart computer
reimport all asset
check class name
remove script component and add it again ("The script needs to derive from monobehaviour" Error)
But nothing worked.
Please help!

Testing MonoBehaviours in a Package
Hi!
I'm working on a **package**.
It has **MonoBehaviour** scripts in it.
I'm trying to test these MB scripts.
- I tried **PlayMode** with test **Scenes**. To **LoadScene** and assert results.
The issue:
Unity wants these **Scenes** to be added to **BuildSettings**.
I cannot do this, because this is a **package**.
- I tried **EditorTests** with **EditorSceneManager.OpenScene**
The issue:
**OpenScene** requires a path to a scene, and it cannot find my scene in **Packages** folder
- Instead of scenes, I could **Instantiate** prefabs from my **Tests** folder.
The issue:
**AssetDatabase** cannot find assets in **Packages** folder.
The question!
How to setup Tests in a **Package** with several **MonoBehaviours** instantiated in a Scene-like or Prefab-like structure?

Timeline does not appear in Window menu
Hi, I'm using Unity 2019.2.21f1.
Unity Timeline 1.1.0 is already installed, but I can't find it in Window menu.
There's no Sequencing menu either.
I tried deleting the Unity project and creating a new one, but Sequencing>Timeline menu still doesn't show up. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Unity with no luck.
Could somebody please give me solution to this?
Thanks in advance.

Help corrupt Terrain from Git: "Unknown error occurred while loading 'Assets/Terrain/Terrain_0_5.."
Hello,
first time seeking support directly. Usually I find my answers online but this seems too specific. I have a Terrain I am working on my Main PC. It's working and loading fine.
I do update unity and packages regularly (I'm on Unity 2020.1.0 rn) - Terrain Tools 3.0.1 preview from the Package Manager.
One day when commiting me Terrain to my Git and checking the Work on my Laptop, after pulling from git, I got this Error:
"Unknown error occurred while loading 'Assets/Terrain/Terrain_0_0_5f153c60-6e59-434b-af76-bf0d78376183.asset'.
UnityEngine.GUIUtility:processEvent(Int32, IntPtr, Boolean&)"
Basically describing, that my TerrainData is corrupted.
I do still have my work on my main machine but I don't know how to transfer Terrain Data via git without having this happening.
Help would be apprechiated!
Greetings
Zacharias

How to keep .asmdef references when exporting a ".dll"?

Now I want to import one of the dll (*Eg.* MyDll) created with **.asmdef** (copied from Library/ScriptAssemblies) inside another unity project.
The problem is that, even if I import also the third parties it depends on, MyDll has references to others **.asmdef files (dll)** that are not being imported with the package I created through *"Export Packages.."*.

**How can I import in a package also those "*.asmdef*" files in order to have the references ?**

Problems with meta files and Visual Studio...
I am pretty new to Unity and I have moved around the Visual Studio and Unity Program files. When I open up a new project, these warnings show up:
`A meta data file (.meta) exists but its asset 'Packages/com.unity.ide.visualstudio/Editor/COMIntegration/Release/COMIntegration.exe' can't be found. When moving or deleting files outside of Unity, please ensure that the corresponding .meta file is moved or deleted along with it.`

`Couldn't delete Packages/com.unity.ide.visualstudio/Editor/VSWhere/vswhere.exe.meta because it's in an immutable folder.
`
Visual Studio's intellisense/autocomplete for unity has also stopped working if that has anything to do with it.
I have tried:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling Unity Hub
- Uninstalling and reinstalling Unity
- Uninstalling and reinstalling Visual Studio
All of the times i reinstalled, they have been in their default location.
Is there anything I can do to fix these warnings?

Animation Rigging package issue
The Animation Rigging package seemed to work just fine and I could apply a multi-aim constraint to a bone to make it turn towards a target. But the issue is that even when I drag the weight to 0, it still somehow affects the bone since the bone doesn't appear to go back to the currently playing animation rotation, but is instead just resetting to the original T-pose rotation.
What I want to happen is that the bone rotation should return to use the rotation from the animation that's currently playing when the weight is 0, and not ignore it as if there is no animation playing.
So basically, when weight is full the multi-aim constraint works as intended, but when weight is 0 it doesn't return to use the animator's rotation, instead use some kind of default rotation. Don't know if there is something I've missed so any help is appreciated! Thank you for your time!
